Nine Cubes Critique Statement
What I feel I was most successful with this project was the actual construction of the net. I really had to fine tune my net a few times before I got a sturdy box. All my subsequent boxes were fairly sturdy. My biggest struggle with this project was working with the bristol paper in general. I have not developed a good cutting technique or planning process yet. The finality of cutting the bristol paper gives me a little anxiety. I would like feedback on if there is a good way for me to get started with the paper cutting/planning easily.
Process:
Secret 1: Clinical. This box represents the spiraling out of control associated with mental health and the judgement one may receive.
Secret 2: Pressure. This is the type of secret associated with the shame of abuse that is kept tightly and neatly locked away.
Secret 3: Art School. This box represents procrastination and the stress of attending Art school.
